Site visitor identifier
restaurants_visitor is a first-party, HttpOnly cookie set for up to one year. It holds a random browser identifier so our own statistics can count unique visitors and recent activity. We record this identifier with page paths and timestamps in our site database.
Language preference
We initially select a language using the country indicated by the hosting provider for your connection. If you change languages, the first-party restaurants_language cookie remembers your choice for up to one year. It stores only the chosen language code.
Google Analytics
The Google Analytics tag (measurement ID G-C7B628VWE0) loads automatically. Its first-party cookies can include _ga to distinguish users and _ga_<container-id> to preserve session state. Google lists a default lifetime of two years for each; browser limits or settings may shorten this. See Google's GA4 cookie documentation.
Security and sign-in
The hosting and security provider may set cookies such as __cf_bm for bot protection. Sign in with ChatGPT, used for restricted management features, may use authentication cookies. Their presence and duration depend on the provider and whether those features are used.
Controls and questions
